John Galliano assembles design team at Maison Martin Margiela

John Galliano has reportedly been busy over the past few weeks assembling a team

of creative co-workers to assist him in his new role at Maison Martin Margiela.

According to industry sources, he has been in contact with a number of former collaborators and friends to assist him in the start of his new career at the Parisian based fashion house, including his former Dior Muse Vanessa Bellanger, designer Alexandre Roux, former Roberto Cavalli designer Jean-Yves Mustiere and his Galliano's former studio manager Rafaele Hardy.

The management team at Maison Martin Margiela declined to comment on any new appointments or the names mentioned, adding that the design team would consist of a mixture of current employees as well as new members yet to join. A spokesman told WWD that the label respected its founder's love for anonymity, “we are still considering ourselves as a collective under the guidance of a creative director.”
