The John Lewis Partnership has appointed Denis Hennequin and Keith Williams as non-exec directors. British

Airways chairman and chief executive Williams and Hennequin, who is the former head of the Accor Hotel group, will both join the John Lewis board on March 1.

The news follows the partnership’s announcement last year that David Barclay and Baroness Hogg would be stepping down from their non-executive director roles this month. However, Baroness Hogg has agreed to remain on the board for a further six months to provide continuity, and will now retire in September.

Sir Charlie Mayfield, chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, said: “I would like to thank David for the hugely important contribution he has made to the Partnership and would like to thank Sarah for being willing to extend her term as a non-executive director to ensure a smooth transition for our new directors and the board.

“I am delighted that Denis and Keith have agreed to join the board. They have a wealth of experience to bring to the Partnership and I very much look forward to working with them.”
