John Lewis scores tenth win as UK's Best Retailer

British department store chain John Lewis has shown that they are the best

at keeping their customers happy, as the department store was named best retailer for customer satisfaction for the tenth time at the Verdict Customer Satisfaction Awards.

Over 5,800 customers participated in the survey carried out by retail specialist Verdict Retail, with John Lewis scoring high marks for customer service and product quality and surpassing other retailers in the survey.

Sarah Peters, lead analyst at Verdict commented: “John Lewis retained its title this year coming top overall as well as in its main product categories of homewares and electricals. As Britain’s favourite retailer, John Lewis continues to deliver the product ranges, inspiration and trust that customers appreciate.”

The department store group was also rated the best online retailer and best online customer service satisfaction, beating online retailer Amazon. Swedish fast-fashion retailer H&M was name best retailer in the clothing category, followed by Matalan and JD Sports.

John Lewis tenth win solidifies the group's long-running position in the UK market and comes just before the start of its 150th anniversary celebrations, which are poised to kick off on May 2.
