John Smedley launches outlet store

British knitwear brand John Smedley has launched a members-only e-commerce site offering past

season’s styles at discounted prices. The Outlet by John Smedley will hold weekly sales offering discounted fine-gauge luxury knitwear to consumers worldwide, except consumers within Australia and Japan.

The online outlet store will offer discounts of up to 70% off on a wide range of products and is the brand’s attempt to ‘curbing the availability’ of John Smedley items via unauthorised stockists. Products available will include classic styles, fashion pieces and accessories, with a mix of John Smedley’s Sea Island Cotton and extra-fine New Zealand Merino wool.

Current sales include women’s and men’s roll necks, men’s cardigans and polo shirts, and women’s jerseywear.
