Retail group Macintosh acquired shoe retailer Jones Bootmaker,

which fits Macintosh’s growth strategy towards the fashion industry. The retail group is looking to improve its position as an international shoe retailer. The acquisition is financed with a loan capital

Established in 1857, multi-brand retailer Jones Bootmaker focuses on mid market, and features 93 store throughout the UK. The company is consistently profitable, and has an annual consumer sale of GBP 95 million. The company has expanded into key retail outlets, as well as high profile units within London, and there are plans for further expansion into major shopping centres.
