Jones Group terminates sale of jeans division

Apparel maker Jones Group Inc. has issued a short

statement today confirming that it has terminated all discussions regarding the potential sale of the Jones’ Jeanswear division.

It was reported last year that the group was in discussions with Israeli vendor Delta Galil Industries Ltd., regarding the potential sale of its jeanswear division, but has now confirmed that it intends to maintain ownership and normal operations of the division.

The Jones Group designs, markets and wholesales over 35 brands across apparel, footwear, jeanswear, jewellery and handbags. The company’s recognised brands and licensing agreements include: Nine West, Jones New York, Kurt Geiger, Rachel Roy, Stuart Weitzman, B Brian Atwood, Carvela, Gloria Vanderbilt and Jessica Simpson.
