Judging Panel announced for UK Fashion & Textile 2014 Awards

The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) has announced
the judging panel for this year's annual awards, which celebrates the entire fashion and textile industry.Taking place on May 22 at the Tobacco Dock in London, the UKFT awards return this year, after witnessing a successful relaunch in 2013. Previous award winners include the Cambridge Satchel Company and designer Christopher Raeburn.
Last year's panel judges included industry experts such as Jackie Hay from House of Fraser and this year will welcome fashion insiders such as; Hilary Alexander chair of OBE, Heather Melville from RBS, Laura Weir from the Sunday Times Style, Alexandra Fullerton from Stylist magazine, Peter Ackroyd from the Woolmark Company and Martyn Roberts from Fashion Scout.
CEO of UKFT, John Miln, commented: “We are delighted to have such a prestigious line up of judges from across the fashion press, retail and textiles to choose our shortlist and winners for this year’s awards.”
“Those who make the shortlist will have the opportunity to present the best of their collections in a fashion show on the night which will be seen by top industry leaders and decision makers,” added Miln.
The awards are open to members and non-members of the UKFT and online entries are now open. Deadline for entries closes on February 28 and the shortlist will be in March.
