Julien Macdonald to launch bespoke line

Eponymous British designer, Julien Macdonald, is to launch a

bespoke line in 2012.

Macdonald has experienced an increase in demand from private clients and has responded by introducing a made-to-measure service.

"Working closely with a client to create a special outfit is so much fun," said Macdonald. "I love the idea of being able to do more of that."

"I'm really excited about setting up the atelier," he said. "I've always tried to source UK fabrics and use UK manufacturers for my ready to wear collections, so having a dedicated in-house atelier to produce 'Made in Britain' pieces for my clients is a dream come true for me."
