French outerwear brand K-Way, which last year collaborated with Versace, has opened its first UK store

in London’s Shoreditch.

Located at 117 Commercial Street beside Spitalfields Market, the two-storey, 870 square foot store has been designed by the brand’s in-house retail design team at K-Way’s UK brand licensee GLD Group and features a clean and modernist aesthetic.

“We now have the opportunity to build on K-Way’s current success in the UK,” said GLD group chief executive Simon Bamber. “We are already working with some of the finest retailers in the country and with the correct investment in infrastructure, marketing and retail, we plan for K-Way to scale up in terms of distribution, own-retail presence and price architecture.”

The opening is part of the brand’s expansion plans in the UK for its 50th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2015, with the French label currently looking at opening additional sites with a similar sized footprint as the Shoreditch store in other London locations as well as key UK cities.

The anniversary year will also be celebrated with a collaboration with a British designer that will be revealed at a later date.
