Karen Millen to open foreign language e-shops

Womenswear retailer Karen Millen has announced plans to

launch foreign language websites across Europe.

The move comes following the success it has seen from its newly launched German language website which has achieved a 48.0% uplift in sales from the country.

Translated websites in France, Spain, Holland and Sweden are expected to launch during 2012.

Karen Millen was founded in 1981 by Kevin Stanford and Karen Millen. With a loan of just £100 they began manufacturing and selling white shirts to their friends. A party plan network followed, and in 1983 they opened their first store in Kent.
