British heritage brand Kent & Curwen has signed a licensing deal with Hong Kong-based

supplier and distributor Li & Fung to launch in America.

Trinity International, a division of the Fung Group, which also looks after Gieves & Hawkes, will act as the licensor and the brand will use Li & Fung’s existing distribution platform to enter the country.

The brand has big plans for America, starting with the opening of its first US store on Madison Avenue this autumn, which has been designed by architect and interior designer David Collins. In addition, the label’s autumn collection will be stocked at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and The Bay.

This follows on from the launch of Kent & Curwen’s London flagship at No 2 Savile Row in October, where the brand will be positioned next door to Gieves & Hawkes.

Kent & Curwen’s is also deepening its long-standing relationship with cricket with the news that England cricket captain Alastair Cook is to front the brand’s UK campaign, this follows the label’s presentation of more than 15 cricket looks during London Collections: Men in June.
