Blue Marine Foundation, a UK-based charity has teamed up with crowd funding

platform Kritical Mass and fashion house Kenzo to launch a new fundraising campaign to help finance a number of ocean conservation projects.

Through Blue's online crowdfunding page, consumers are able to donate money to help implement three new conservation measures, which include supporting a scientific study around Ascension Island, introduce smart phone technology to help Lyme-Bay fisherman and omission a scientific study to investigate the collapse of the native oyster fishery.

“Our mission at Blue is to secure active and effective protection for at least 10 percent of the world's oceans by 2020, helping to address what we regard as the largest solvable problem on the planet,” commented Cindy Forde, managing director at Blue.

Consumers who donate 90 pounds via the crowdfunding page will receive a exclusively designed t-shirt from Kenao, which reads 'No Fish No Nothing.' The fashion house previously launched its 'No Fish No Nothing' capsule collection, which features t-shirts, tank tops and sweaters bearing fish to support the charity financially and have launched an online platform at www.kenzo/nofishnonothing, to promote ocean conservation.

“Having historically worked with a range of corporate partners, charitable peers and high net worth individuals, we're delighted to now be extending our fund raising activities to a wider audience – enabling concerned individuals to donate directly to a number of critical marine conservation whilst also enjoying access to unique rewards kindly provided by our partners.”
