Kering names Gianluca Flore Brioni CEO

Following the news of new chief executive’s at Christopher Kane and Bottega Veneta, Kering has also named Gianluca

Flore as the CEO of Brioni, effective November 1, 2014.

Flore will replace Francesco Pesci, who according to Kering will be taking his career in a “new direction” following the successfully integration of the Brioni brand within the Kering Group.

Reporting into Marco Bizzarri, CEO of Kering ‘Luxury - Couture & Leather Goods’ division, Flore who has been part of Kering since 2008, has been tasked with continuing to support the brand’s international growth and reputation for excellence in the high-end menswear market.

Before joining Brioni, Flore spent over six years at Bottega Veneta, first as president of the Americas region, then as worldwide retail & wholesale director and chief executive officer of the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to Kering, Flore served as president of Fendi Americas and La Perla North America.

Bizzarri, said: “I am enthusiastic about Gianluca Flore’s arrival at Brioni. I am confident that his understanding of the luxury market and his knowledge of brand development overseas will be invaluable in perpetuating the success and international reputation of the house.

“The integration of the company into the Kering Group was a highly important mission and he accomplished it successfully. The brand can now enter a new phase of its development.”
