L Brands August sales improve by 9 percent

REPORT_ L Brands reported net sales of 765.3 million dollars for the four weeks ended August 30, 2014, an increase of 9

percent. Comparable store sales increased 5 percent for the four weeks ended Aug. 30, 2014.

The company reported net sales of 5.832 billion dollars for the 30 weeks ended August 30, 2014, an increase of 6 percent compared to net sales of 5.489 billion dollars for the 30 weeks ended August 31, 2013. Comparable store sales increased 3 percent.

L Brands, through Victoria's Secret, Pink, Bath & Body Works, La Senza and Henri Bendel, operates 2,949 company-owned specialty stores in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, and its brands are sold in about 600 additional franchised locations worldwide. The company's products are also available online.
