L Brands June sales increase 7 percent

REPORT_ L Brands reported net sales of 1.176 billion dollars for the five weeks ended July 5, 2014; an increase of 7

percent, compared to net sales of 1.101 billion dollars for the five weeks ended July 6, 2013. Comparable store sales increased 2 percent for the five weeks ended July 5, 2014.

The company reported net sales of 4.331 billion dollars for the 22 weeks ended July 5, 2014, an increase of 6 percent compared to sales of 4.106 billion dollars for the 22 weeks ended July 6, 2013. Comparable store sales increased 2 percent during the period under review.

L Brands, through Victoria's Secret, Pink, Bath & Body Works, La Senza and Henri Bendel, operates 2,936 company-owned specialty stores in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, and its brands are sold in about 600 franchised additional locations worldwide.
