Struggling lingerie retailer La Senza is preparing to shut down twelve

additional stores over the next few weeks, after previously closing down six stores during its second fall into administration.

130 employees are thought to be affected as the retailer aims to close stores in Cambridge, Brighton, Leeds Trinity, Northampton, Canterbury, Derby, Kingston, Maidstone, Bluewater, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Silverburn Glasgow.

“We have worked closely with the La Senza brand owner to assess the expressions of interest made regarding the brand,” said Robert Moran, appointed administrator from PwC to Drapersonline. “These discussions remain ongoing, however, the difficult decision has been made to close a further twelve unprofitable stores over the coming weeks.”

“We are working closely with the employees of the stores impacted and supporting them as much as possible at this difficult time. There has been significant interest from other retailers regarding the property estate and we are exploring all options regarding potential sales.”
