London College of Fashion is uniting with Amnesty International
to help protect human rights worldwide on a year-long collaboration. Students from the Fashion Flexible Learning Programme who study part-time on undergraduate degree courses in Fashion Media, Fashion Business, Fashion Retail Branding & Visual Merchandising, and Fashion Design and Realisation will work with the charity on various fashion projects over the coming year. The exclusive products, which will be sold at the Amnesty Shop @ Boxpark, in Shoreditch, East London, the organisations first-ever retail outlet will raise vital funds for the charities work. The first collaborative product launch will be revealed on Human Rights Day, December 10. Throughout 2012 the store will also be the exclusive stockist of a brand new collaboration collection, produced for Amnesty by the CultureLabel.
Amnesty International's Fundraising Manager Lara Woolston said: "This is the first time that Amnesty International has embarked on a fashion based initiative of this scale. Working with London College of Fashion was a natural fit given their reputation as the world's leading specialist in fashion education and our desire to re-style and re-work the fashion products that we offer. We have been inspired and excited in equal measure by the ideas that students from the LCF Flexible Learning Programme have come up with and we look forward to revealing more in 2012."
