Lee Cooper appoints Irish licensee

British denim brand Lee Cooper has signed a deal with retailer and distributer
Orinoco to act as its exclusive licensee for Ireland.To expand the denim brand presence in the region, Lee Cooper has granted the license for its womenswear, menswear, kidswear and lingerie to Orinoco, a company with more than 15 years of experience in wholesale and retailing.
Chief executive Andy Dunkley said: “We are very excited about the opportunities of the brand in Ireland, and we are delighted with the partnership we have formed with Orinoco.
“We have in them a team who own their denim stores and wholesale to the Irish national accounts. They know the Irish market and the denim business very well.”
This latest deal comes after Lee Cooper was acquired by licensing group Iconix Brand Group for 72 million dollars in February.
