Lefties, the low-cost brand owned by fashion conglomerate Inditex,

is thought to preparing to launch an online store at the end of the month, as part of the label's renewed brand identity and boost sales.

The value-brand, which once started out as an outlet store for leftover stock from Zara, has been transformed over the past few months into a separate label with its own fashion offering for men, women and children. Lefties previously launched an online page last November that showcased the brands Christmas look book, whilst unveiling a new store concept and logo and appears to be ready to unveil its e-commerce platform later this month.

According to a recent report from Spanish news agency Europa Press, Lefties will launch its new online store on August, 22, which will only serve the label's Spanish, Portuguese and Russian customers. The launch of its online store comes not long after Inditex introduced the brand to the Russian market. A company spokeswoman told Reuters the label had opened two stores in shopping malls on the edges of Moscow and one the outskirts of St. Petersburg on August, 1.

The spokeswoman declined to confirm or deny news on Lefties online store opening and to comment on further plans for the brands future. Up until last month Lefties counted over 100 stores present in its Spain and Portugal. Industry insiders speculate that Inditex is currently testing Lefties in the lower end of the retail market to see if the brand gains momentum in the near future before introducing it in other key markets.
