Scandinavian fashion chain Lindex has named Ingvar Larsson as its new Chief Executive officer, replacing Göran Bille

who is leaving Lindex after 10 years in the role.

Larsson has been design and purchasing director at Lindex since June 2013, and was Lindex’s country manager for Sweden in 2010-2013. Prior to joining Lindex he held several management positions at H&M.

Commenting on his new role, Larsson said: “It feels both fun and exciting! I will continue on the path that has led us to the current position as a leading fashion company. We have a lot of exciting things to look forward to; we will soon celebrate Lindex 60 years, and we have worked hard to become even clearer in our offering to our customers, brand work that I have been very involved in.”

He also added that the fashion chain would continue to expand internationally and drive upon the news that French designer Jean Paul Gaultier is to design a capsule collection for the brand this autumn.

Bille will leave his CEO position immediately but will be available for the fashion chain during the period of notice.

Hannu Penttilä, CEO of Stockmann the parent company of Lindex, added: “During Göran Bille’s ten years as the CEO, Lindex has grown into one of the leading fashion chains in Europe. I would like to thank Göran for his excellent work in leading the fashion chain’s international expansion.

“Ingvar Larsson has already proven his abilities in the Lindex management team. I am confident that under his leadership Lindex will continue on its successful journey, developing into a global, world-class brand.”
