More than 200 MA Business and Management students at London College

of Fashion (LCF) have become the first users allowed access to Editd's educational edition, with LCF becoming the first university to utilize the fashion retail data collected by Editd.

Editd, global retail data experts, currently offer their product to a number of international retailers, such as Gap, Asos, Missguided and Target, which tracks over 1.6 million product stock keeping units every day, and offers a searchable database of 600 million opinions tracked from influencers across the whole industry. The database offers its users current analysis of pricing, product assortment as well as product metrics.

The education version of the product includes all data gathered by Editd, but is presented in a market-specific form for the LCF students. Earlier this week, Kate Smith, senior fashion and retail market analyst at Editd introduced the education edition to LCF's students and invited them to use it to learn about the best practices in pricing, product assortment and digital communication.

“For LCF to collaborate with innovative fashion tech companies like Editd enhances the way we teach subjects like buying, merchandising and digital marketing communication and ultimately improves the employability of our graduates,” commented Karinna Nobbs, senior lecturer for fashion branding and retail atrategy at LCF, adding that the academic team was “delighted” to be offered access to the education edition.

Geoff Watts, CEO at Editd added, “Now, students at LCF can use the same tools that graduates and professionals use every day in some of the best fashion companies in the world. At Editd we hold learning as a core value, so we’re proud to be able to set this programme up.”

Editd also announced that it shall give a prize to the student who best utilizes their education edition.
