With London fashion week now upon us, all eyes are upon the feast of British fashion talent
that has fast gained itself a name as the edgiest on the calendar.Running until the 21st, it will be a packed few days of catwalk shows, installations and presentations before a final menswear day. Located at Somerset House, shows will also take place in smaller venues around London,
including spectacular venues such as the Royal Opera House and Old Billingsgate.
Highlights include Scottish designers Jonathan Saunders and Louise Gray and award winners, Christopher Kane and Erdem. Whilst, with the BFC ever on a bid to nurture young talent, the show schedule also includes plenty of initiatives; Vauxhall fashion Scout at the Freemason’s Hall, Covent Garden, Fashion Fringe and Fashion East. As well as a packed exhibition space devoted to jewellery, millinery and ethical fashion talent alike.
Whilst for those who can’t get hold of a show ticket, designers are looking for ways to ever more make shows accessible; Issa London this season will live stream their show so you can watch it from your own home.
