London Garments Expo announces 2012 dates

Following on from the success of its inaugural fashion trade

show in October last year, London Garments Expo has announced the dates for the 2012 show, which will take place at the Business Design Centre in Islington from August 29-31.

The apparel trade show will once again feature international exhibitors ranging from womenswear and menswear to lingerie, swimwear and fabrics. Last season the expo attracted companies from 11 different countries including the UK, India, China, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Pakistan, Finland and Bangladesh.

For 2012, the expo is introducing the ‘Best of British’ pavilion, which will support up-and-coming British designers and manufacturers. The aim is to give British companies extra exposure and to allow easier networking with buyers, industry insiders, as well as press.

The show will also feature daily fashion shows, as well as an education and skills section, which includes contributions from De Montfort University’s contour design department and the renowned practical training organisation, Fashion Capital.
