Louboutin x Bella Freud

Christian Louboutin and Bella Freud have collaborated on a capsule knitwear collection,

due to launch this July.

Louboutin, who is the godfather of Bella’s child, has come up with a series of sketches inspired by the theme of fetishism. The designs will be incorporated into merino wool sweaters created by Freud.

Pieces will come in a range of colors from green to black. But the most interesting and original detail will, of course, be Louboutin’s sketches. “I have often admired his drawings and I wanted to use some to put on my knitwear – says Freud - I love the way a drawing comes to life when it is reinterpreted in another medium. On a knit it you get the sense of someone having actually drawn it, rather than it being a computer generated image.”
