Lulu Kennedy launches second line

Fashion East founder Lulu Kennedy’s fashion venture Lulu & Co has

introduced its own in-house line for spring/summer 2012, Lulu & Co Studio. For the inaugural season, the collection comprises of luxe cocktail dresses, t-shirts, mini dresses and skirts featuring Mexican sunsets, Hawaiian hula girls and tropical fruit prints.

The mini capsule collection sits alongside other Lulu & Co designer pieces from the likes of Fashion East stars Maarten van der Horst and Marques’Almeida, as well as guest designers Peter Jensen, Christopher Shannon, Markus Lupfer, and Roksanda Ilincic. The inspiration behind the new line is to enable the designers to widen their audience base, as well as expand their offering by creating capsule ranges rather than single pieces.

Lulu & Co launched in 2010 and in its first three seasons it has been picked up by stockists including Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Selfridges in the UK and Joyce Hong Kong.
