Heritage fashion label Lyle & Scott has taken to Twitter to find its new Chief Executive Officer,

following the departure of managing director Derrick Campbell earlier this year.

The brand, working with recruitment firm Beringer Tame, tweeted: “Wanted: #CEO for our iconic British fashion brand. £250k basic salary. Corporate Journeymen need not apply”, with a link to a dedicated website featuring a job advert.

In the job description, the fashion label states that it is looking for a UK boss who has experience of growing international sales, has strong leadership skills, as well as experience building and managing a fully functioning board across multiple sites.

The social media campaign, using the hashtag #NextGreatLeader, is thought to be the first time a brand has used social media channels to recruit such a high level position.

As well as utilising Twitter, the brand will also be pushing their CEO search on Facebook and LinkedIn.
