Still a mystery to most of us, now a selection of writings by Marilyn Monroe are being

published. Coinciding with the release of diaries, poems, and letters, the American Museum in Bath will showcase ‘Marilyn – Hollywood Icon’ from 12th March until 30th October 2011. The exhibition will feature the largest private collection of Marilyn’s film costumes and dresses.

Alongside 20 dresses, there will be a broad collection of pictures, posters, and personal items on the display from the Hollywood star. Among the items are Monroe’s pillbox and the silver ring she once was gifted by her mom Gladys.

Dallas Pratt, a New York psychiatrist and John Judkyn an English antique merchant, founded the American Museum in Britain in 1961. Marilyn Monroe was born in 1926 as Norma Jeane Mortensone. She made 30 films and passed away in 1962, she's still worshipped for her beauty.
