Mark Fast took home the All Walks Beyond The

Catwalk fashion prize as part of the inaugural Body Confidence Awards held at the Houses of Parliament last week - the first ever awards to celebrate brands, companies and individuals who promote body esteem and well-being.

Beating off competition from the likes of Giles Deacon and Vivienne Westwood, the British talent was commended for introducing "realistically proportioned models during his catwalk shows".

"I'd like to thank the Body Confidence Awards for acknowledging me," Fast said. "As a designer I care about the women that wear my clothes, and big thanks to All Walks Beyond the Catwalk for their encouragement. As a designer, it is very important to deliver the technical aspects a look and a quality of make - I don't really understand this? - but I also want to make each wearer of my clothes feel empowered and affirmed. I want to celebrate women and make them feel good in my clothes."
