Masters of Style opens this weekend at London’s Somerset House. The exhibit, the first of

its kind, celebrates the work of Italy’s six most influential designers, through taking imagery from their store of rich archives.
So Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, Ferragamo, Prada, Gucci and Missoni will be celebrated to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.

"I am thrilled with it," curator Colin McDowell told us last night. "I'm so pleased Gwyn Miles, Somerset House's director, agreed to do it too."
"Let me say that although I am simply not the sort of person who cries with joy at fashion show - although I honour those that do - I have seen so much beauty, sophistication and style in Milan that I am glad that the pictures that celebrate those attributes are now being seen in London for the first time," he explained.
