London Fashion Week designer Matthew Williamson has teamed

up with Swedish high street retailer Lindex to launch a new collection of apparel for both women and children.

Launching in October, the collection which will benefit breast cancer research, features his signature aesthetic in a range of feminine pieces including dresses, jumpers, trousers, and coats, which the designer describes as a “a working wardrobe for the modern woman”.

Commenting on the collaboration, Williamson said: “Working with Lindex has been a great opportunity to create a designer line at a more affordable price point and reach a new group of fashion conscious women.

“It was also important for me to have creative freedom, which Lindex were happy to do – together we have created something really special.”

The collection will also feature a specially designed T-shirt featuring “show some love” that will be signed by the designer. All profits from the T-shirt will go towards the fight against breast cancer, while the rest of the collection will donate 10 percent of the sale price.

This isn’t Williamson’s first high street collection, the designer is part of the Debenhams roster, and he has previously created a line for another Swedish brand, H&M, in 2009.

Matthew Williamson for Lindex launches October 7 and will be available in selected stores as well as online.
