Menswear brand Merc has opened a series of shop-in-shop concepts in Asia as

part of its global expansion programme.

Following the young fashion label’s expansion into House of Fraser and Galeries Lafayette in Jakarta, Merc has opened a 60 square metre concession in the Siam Paragon department store in Thailand’s capital city Bangkok.

The concession houses the brands menswear Autumn/Winter 20134 collection including both the casual and premium W1 ranges, as well as a dedicated footwear area.

Merc’s head of UK, Andy Tompsett said: “This new opening indicates the strength of the Merc brand worldwide.

“Coupled with recent successes with Asos with their launch into Russia and China, with Zalando in 14 markets, the export domain of Merc is looking stronger than ever. These new emerging markets do have their challenges but our first foray into Thailand has been met with much acclaim.”
