Mimma Viglezio joins BuyMyWardrobe

BuyMyWardrobe, the marketplace for pre-loved luxury

designer fashion has appointed Mimma Viglezio, formerly Executive Vice President of Global Communications at The Gucci Group to its board of directors.

Viglezio, a resident seller at the BuyMyWardrobe fashion recycling events since 2008, joins the company as a shareholder and director as part of the businesses expansion, which includes launching an exclusive online marketplace this year.

“I am very happy to be able to be part of BuyMyWardrobe,” commented Viglezio. “I like its business model and the integrity of its management. I believe a controlled and carefully edited place to exchange branded products online was highly needed”

Kal Di Paola, Managing Director of BuyMyWardrobe added: “We are delighted to have Mimma onboard. She brings proven fashion industry pedigree, valuable insight and advice as well as her little black book of London’s most stylish.”

As well as her position on the board of directors, Viglezio will also become a ‘founding fifty’ seller on BuyMyWardrobe.com, selling her high end designer items from the likes of Gucci and Balenciaga at a fraction of the retail price. All of her sales proceeds are donated to several charities of which she is a trustee.
