Mischa Barton to open UK fashion store

Mischa Barton has launched a new fashion line,

named Mischa, inspired by the relaxed Bohemian look that made her famous during her O.C years. Although the collection is currently only available in Dubai - where demand was high for her existing handbag label - she will open a 1,000-square-foot store in London's Spitalfields area next month.

"It's for women ranging from 15 to 35," Barton said. "There are different pieces that will appeal to different styles, but the main thing is I wanted it to feel functional and easy to wear."

"It'll be Forties-meets-Seventies with the occasional bit of Twenties - that sounds a bit random, but I'll take elements of different decades," Barton told us of the label in June last year. "It'll be a bit like Biba, but with a real simplicity of cut and lots of bright colours.
