Miu Miu names retail merchandising director

Italian fashion group Prada has bolstering the management of Miu Miu with the appointment of Serge Carreira as

its retail merchandising director for ready-to-wear worldwide.

The appointment follows Miu Miu’s recent relocation of its headquarters to Paris and is part of its strategy plans to accelerate the label’s expansion. He will be responsible for deciding the volume of clothes for each campaign and adjusting production based on demand throughout the year for the network of Miu Miu flagships.

Carreira has been with Prada since 2005 as its retail merchandising coordinator for Prada Retail France. Prior to his role at the luxury Italian label he was a buyer for Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette.
