Footwear retailer Mode in Pelle is continuing forward with its expansion drive,

with the opening of another two concessions, to take the total rolled out this year to 22.

Part of the retailer’s growth strategy, this year has seen the footwear brand open 22 concessions in leading department stores, with the latest two in Beales in Kendal and Clerys in Dublin opening this month.

The new concessions have launched with 13 different retailers, including department store Browns, Beales, and Hourston, targeting the North West, South West and Scotland.

The expansion coincides with the relaunch of its e-commerce website, which has added a consumer-engaging blog, as well as its aim to align the label with a more “affluent target market”.

Commenting on the expansion drive, Moda in Pelle retail director, Ron Stark said: “We are committed to our concession strategy. We have grown our retail estate by 65 percent over the past two months, and concessions continue to be a strong growth area for the business.

“We are continuing to strengthen our appeal by focusing on fit, quality and style in our designs to give us stand out and differentiation. We have already seen strong sales in our new concessions and we are confident this range will continue to perform well.”

Founded in 1975 in Leeds, Moda in Pelle now has 30 standalone stores, and more than 50 concessions nationwide. In 2012 the brand also opened its first international franchise store in Lahore Pakistan.
