Moynat, one of the oldest trunk makers in France, is preparing to open its London store after the relaunch

of its first store on Rue Saint Honoré, Paris in 2011.

Bernard Arnault previously acquired the 165 year old French luggage company via his private holding company Groupe Arnault in 2010, and since then has been busy breathing new life into Moynat.

The luxury trunk and handbag company is set to open its second store to date at 112 Mount Street in London end of February this year. The two-story store will offer Moynat's luggage, handbags and travel accessories for men and women as well as a number of accessories. For the store's interior, Gwenael Nicolas, of Curiosity in Tokyo, who previously created the interior for the store in Paris, has designed an art-deco inspired concept with tiled floors.

Arnault previously hired former Hermés handbag designer Ramesh Nair as creative director for Moynat, to reinvent the brand classic handbags and trunks in a way that honored the brands rich heritage, who created useful handles and added small details to the collection, such as hidden pockets on travel bags to place tickets.

Moynat products are currently only available at its Parisian store, and the addition of a second store on one of London's most exclusive shopping streets will hopefully increase the brand international presence.
