French luxury fashion house Mugler is to open its eponymous Milan shop-in-shop on Via

Borgospesso this week, following its licensing agreement with Italian ready-to-wear and accessories manufacturer and distributor Ittierre Group.

The new boutique is part of It’s 30 Manzoni, the first department store inaugurated by Ittierre, and will see the Mugler boutique open adjacent to the Pierre Balmain store, which is also licensed to the Ittierre Group.

Commenting on the new venture, Joel Palix, president of Clarins Fragrance Group and director general of Mugler said: "This store is an exciting new step in the evolution of the Mugler brand, initiated in 2010. For the first time, the brand will present its whole universe in one of the world's leading fashion cities.

“We are thrilled about the partnership with Ittierre and to be able to benefit from their outstanding expertise.”

The opening of the brand’s first store in Milan is part of the fashion house’s global international development strategy, which plans to open stand-alone boutiques in Paris and Hong Kong within the next two years.

The debut 90 square metre Mugler store in Milan will open on June 25 and will house the present women’s and men’s collections, as well as the handbag line.
