British luxury brand Mulberry is rumored to be close to hiring a new creative director,

one which may be able to help turn the luxury label's sluggish sales around.

The struggling company issued its third profit warning within twelve months earlier this week, after retail sales within the UK dropped 12 percent in the six months to the end of September.

According to industry sources, Mulberry has its sights set on Johnny Coca, head design director for leather goods, accessories, shoes and jewelry at Céline to take over the creative reins at the label. However Coca, who has been with the French luxury label since 2010, revealed to WWD that he has no intentions of leaving his role at Céline and that he is “planning to stay put.”

Other possible candidates to fill the role previously vacated by Emma Hill include former creative director at Chloé, Hannah MacGibbon, as well as the previous creative director at Issa, Blue Farrier, who recently left the label.
