My-Wardrobe introduces 'try before you buy' scheme

Luxury online fashion site My-Wardrobe has introduced a free ‘try before you buy’
scheme in the aim of “overcoming some of the barriers to shopping online”.Called ‘My-Dressing Room’, the scheme allows customers to order clothes and have them delivered for free, while giving them seven days to decide which items to keep. The customer just needs to send back the items that didn’t suit by organising a collection time for pick-up. One advantage of the service means that shoppers won’t need to wait several days for a refund to be processed on returned items.
Customers who order before midday can also opt for same day delivery across the UK, so they could have their goods that same evening, as part of the e-tailer’s reinforcement of its “customer-centric service”.
Commenting on the new service, My-Wardrobe CEO Andrew Curran said: “Customers only pay when they are happy. This service is all about making life as simple as possible. Ultimately we hope customers will appreciate the service and keep coming back for more.”
The site, which was sold in a pre-pack administration in November to Growth Capital Acquisitions, has pledged to stop discounting its products instead it is focusing on investing on bridge brands such as Acne and Ash to fill the gap between online retailers Asos and Net-a-Porter.
This latest initiative follows the e-tailer recruiting a host of new people including Sacha Newall, formerly promotions manager at Daily Mail, as head of sales and marketing, and Charlotte Fairbairn has joined as web and business development manager from Tesco Direct.
