N Brown hires Peter Moffatt as Head of Design

Online apparel retailer N Brown Group has tapped former senior designer at Shop Direct, Peter Moffatt as its head of

design help modernizing its fashion offering.

Moffatt reportedly begun his new role on September 8 and oversees product design for womenswear brand Simply Be and plus-size label JD Williams as well as menswear brand Jacamo.

Prior to taking on his new role, Moffat oversaw womenswear design for denim, casual wovens and Style Bible at Shop Direct. He has also held womenswear design roles in the past at Craghoppers and Matalan.

Before taking on Moffatt, the design team at N Brown was controlled by each separate buying team for every label. However, chief executive officer Angela Spindler created the new role to help make the online retailer's fashion offering “more consistent”.
