N Brown Group, the online, catalogue and stores retailer, has announced the appointment

of Angela Spindler as its new chief executive officer. Spindler will join the business before July 1 and will succeed Alan White, who after 25 years with the company has announced his plans to retire.

Since 2009, Spindler has been chief executive officer for The Original Factory Shop, where she has led the team responsible for substantial growth in the business. Prior to this, she held roles at Coca Cola, Pedigree Masterfoods, Asda and she was managing director of Debenhams.

Andrew Higginson, Chairman of N Brown said: "We are delighted that Angela has decided to join N Brown and lead it through the next phase of its exciting growth. She brings a tremendous breadth of experience to the role, most recently as a successful CEO, and the Board firmly believes she has the personal qualities to lead the team, and the business, as it continues its growth online and internationally.”

Spindler added: "N Brown is a fabulous business which has been very successfully adapted to benefit from the multi-channel retail revolution. I am really looking forward to working with a great team and to building on the momentum they have established.

“The business has some excellent brands and is well placed to deliver growth both in the UK and internationally. I am delighted to be joining."
