New eyewear executive at Kering

Roberto Vedovotto, former Chief Executive Officer at Safilo Group SpA, has been taken

on as eyewear executive for all brands at Kering, effective immediately.

According to WWD, Vedovotto who left Safilo on October 15 to pursue new career opportunities, was put in charge by company president and CEO Francois-Henri Pinault to bring business back to eyewear sales across all luxury brands.

Vedovotta first joined Safilo as co-Chief Executive Officer back in 2002. Prior to joining Safilo, he worked at Morgan Stanleyand Banca di Roma.
