A new footwear trade show, known as Platform, is preparing to launch next month in London, set to showcase UK's premium shoe
labels and brands.According to the trade shows site, it will be “the newest, freshest shoe show to hit London in years”. A number of international shoe brands and designers will be exhibiting their wares, such as Audley, C.Doux, Coclico and Beyond Skin, at the shows venue in the Westbury Gallery in the Westbury Hotel, in Mayfair.
The trade shows founder, Gerard Levy said Platform was created to fulfill the lack of UK footwear trade shows. “I have great respect for Scoop and Pure, but the reality was that being clothes fairs, they always would cater to those needs first. The concept of Platform is to create an environment that is clean and contemporary yet also warm and welcoming,” said Levy to Drapers online.
Set to run from February 9 – 10, although the trade show's schedule conflicts with Pure London, Platform London has included a free complimentary shuttle service to and from Pure for retailers, designers and visitors alike.
