The New West End Company, which represents the

interests of the shopping districts of Bond Street, Oxford Street and Regent Street, has announced two key appointments to lead a newly formed Bond Street Retail Group.

Created to transform the public spaces of Bond Street in a bid to rejuvenate the area, the offshoot business will launch on April 1, with Paul Dimond, deputy chairman of Daks Simpson Group acting as interim chairman and former managing director of Fortnum & Mason Beverley Aspinall as interim managing director.

The pair will head up a transitional management team made up of senior directors from Bond Street’s leading luxury retailers and will with funding partner New West End Company to develop and implement a five-year plan for the district.

The group will work closely Westminster City Council and Transport for London to manage a programme of work set to potentially transform the public spaces of Bond Street including superior carriageways and paving.

It is hoped that the new investment to the area will help Bond Street attract more high net worth and luxury visitors to the district.
