Newest global awards Clio Image now open for entries

The Clio awards announced that their entries are now
open to agencies, brands, publications, photographers and production companies for the first ever Clio Image Awards. All applicants for the Clio Image Awards will have to follow a strict jury review session, similar to the one for the Clio Awards. The Clio Awards are an annual honor ceremony that celebrate and praise innovation in design, communications and advertising.The award ceremony is set to honor distinction in marketing and advertising in the areas of fashion, beauty, retail and accessories. Select jurors have been chosen to preside over the award ceremony and consist of established individuals such as David Lauren of Ralph Lauren, Richard Ferretti, the SVP Global Creative Director at Estée Lauder and Paul Ritter, the Design Director at Elle magazine. Similar to the Clio Awards, the Clio Image Awards will comprise of three areas of recognition. The first award given is the Clio Award, which celebrates work that ‘pushes creative boundaries and demonstrates ahead-of-the curve thinking.’ Second, there is the Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors unique artistic contributions by an ‘individual who has paved the way for new industry talent.’ Lastly, there is the Honorary Clio Award, which honors the ‘distinguished bodies of work and creative contributions to their respective industries.’ The entries that will be submitted are set to become part of a digital and print campaign, which will be created by one of the world’s most established advertising agency, BBDO in New York.
Nicole Purcell, the Executive director of Clio said: “Clio Image is the first global awards show to recognize the groundbreaking creative work that is done behind the scenes in fashion, beauty, retail and accessories.” The Clio Image Awards are scheduled to take place next May and will be held at the Pierre in New York City.
