Following the success of British designer Nicholas Kirkwood men's pop-up stores,

which launched in Mayfair, London last October, the footwear designer launched a pop-up store in French department store Printemps last week.

However, unlike the pop-up store in Mayfair, the French version offers Kirkwood's women's Spring/Summer '14 collection, which is based around a Moroccan theme and a sporty, influenced Seventies vibe.

"We are focusing on all our big markets, the US, Middle and Far East, as well as Europe," said Kirkwood to WWD during the Printemps pop-up store opening. The following pop-up store to open is set to be in Bal Harbour, in Miami end of the month.

Since LVMH acquired the company last year, Nicholas Kirkwood has experienced a number of changes, including internal restructuring, future planning and taking on new staff under the guidance of the group's advisors. "They really know what they are doing, and for a small brand like ours to get advice on what's going to happen next is very helpful," commented the designer.

The British designer also aims to expand his men's wear line this year and continue developing the label, with the addition of a bag collection in the pipeline. "I want to start developing [it] this year, find the right manufacturer and define the image."

The pop-up store in Printemps is located on the second floor of the department store and is set to run until the middle of April.
