Nicole Farhi postpones search for Sykes successor

Fashion label Nicole Farhi has decided to wait with the search for a new creative director. Last Friday, news broke that Joanna Sykes, had left

the label one year after her appointment to focus on new projects.

​The label's current in-house design team will continue working without a director for now. Nicole Farhi revealed in a statement Sykes departure was “with our best wishes and thanks.”

Sykes has yet to confirm what new projects she will be undertaking and it remains unclear if she will relaunch her eponymous label, Sykes, which she shut down in 2010 when she took on the role of creative director at Aquascutum.
