On 10 June 2010, O’Neill

launched a new European community website where girls can come together to share their love of surfing and snowboarding.  Launched simultaneously in five countries, oneillfirstlovelastlove.com has been integrated with Facebook to make it more interactive than ever before.

What started off as the diary of two young surf girls in Belgium, has now developed into a European-wide meeting point for all girls with a passion for boardsports. The site features not only technical talk covering everything from tricks to equipment, but also motivating stories with girls exchanging tales and setting their own goals without the pressure to perform. The aim of the site: fun.

This meeting point for likeminded girls will be activated in Belgium, Germany, UK, France and The Netherlands with specific content for each region. The sites are brought to life with news from local O’Neill facebook fan pages, the bloggings of O’Neill team riders and ambassadors and feedback and chats between members.

And as every girl knows – surfing is not just for on the computer, and oneillfirstlovelastlove.com ambassadors are there to inspire and motivate all the girls to get into the ocean or onto the mountains. The ambassadors will regularly organise O’Neill Girls Out events that everyone can join.

Highlights:

News: Not only all the news that every board-minded girl should know about, but also the opportunity for all members to share their own story with the entire community.

Heartbeat: Here the Facebook status updates of team riders and ambassadors will appear, providing an insight into their exciting lives. All registered members can post a message in the shout box and react to the status updates.

Contest: All registered members can participate in various contests organised on the website.

Calendar: An overview of all boarding activities that are organised on a local, national and international level.

Links: A guide throughout the online board sports world.

Downloads: Wallpapers, screensavers and photographs as mobile phone background.

Share your story / event: Funny travel stories, exciting surfing adventures, a board event to be recommended, exchanging experiences, etc. Registered members can post their own story and events on the website.
