Ultimate Outdoors, the online outdoor retailer part of the Blacks and JD Sports Group, has opened its first ever store at the
Deepdale Shopping Park in Preston.The online retailer selected a 250,000 square foot unit on a 10-year lease, to provide a “one-stop shop” for outdoor clothing and equipment needs, which will include Blacks and Ultimate Outdoor own name brands, as well as Tiso and Alpine Bikes along with Trek Cycles who will operate a concession.
The store will also include The Ultimate Café, an in-store coffee shop operated by Liverpool-based The Interesting Eating Company.
Commenting on the location, Lee Bagnall, managing director for Ultimate Outdoors, said: “We chose Deepdale Shopping Park for the very first Ultimate Outdoors because it serves a very strong catchment and trades extremely well. We are confident it will provide a strong platform to grow our brand from.”
Matt Reed, senior asset manager for British Land, added: “We are delighted to be able to provide the location of choice for Ultimate Outdoors to open its first ever store. Ultimate Outdoors arrival at Deepdale demonstrates the attraction and success of the park, further adding to the strong occupier line-up.”
