Original Penguin on CoolBrands list

Lifestyle clothing brand Original Penguin is voted one of UK’s Coolest Brands for

2011/12. Original Penguin joined this years CoolBrands® list, and sits alongside brands such as Levi’s®, Rolex, Uniqlo and Stella McCartney.

In its 10th year, the CoolBrands® list follows a vote by a combination of 2,000 consumers and a panel of 36 influencers including designers, style experts, media personalities and figures from the worlds of TV, fashion and music. The list is co-ordinated by The Centre for Brand Analysis and drawn from over 10,000 independently identified brands, downed into a shortlist of 1,500 brands. The selection was made based on factors such as style, innovation, originality, authenticity, desirability and uniqueness. The views of both the panel and consumers were combined to produce a list of the 500 brands most highly rated.

Stephen Cheliotis, Chairman of the CoolBrands Expert Council, said: “Cool is subjective and personal, but Original Penguin has been identified as a CoolBrand by the British public and a panel of influential opinion formers based on a wide criteria of factors. It is a huge achievement and implies it is a brand that most Brits wish to own. Original Penguin is clearly delivering cool in the eyes of consumers and influencers alike.”
